Founded in Switzerland in 1996, we have endeavoured to be an innovative investment partner to clients and business partners worldwide. Over the last twenty years we have grown from our headquarters in Zug, Switzerland.  We have over 1,800 employees, including more than 550 private markets investment professionals, across 21 offices managing USD 149 billion in assets under management. Our global footprint is built on the deep experience and expertise of our local teams.

Our Sydney office opened in March 2008 and consists of 25 full time team members. Of our 25 employees based in Australia, seven are dedicated client focused team members who work closely with Australian and New Zealand clients.

Locally, our Sydney team manages 17 institutional investors, 50+ family offices and over 30,000 retail clients with AUD 15 billion  committed and invested.  Our firm's largest client is an Australian superannuation fund, investing in private equity, debt, real estate and infrastructure.

Typically private market asset classes are available only to institutional investors due to high investment minimums and the illiquidity of the underlying investments. However, Partners Group is able to offer access to private markets without the long lock up periods of traditional private markets funds.

To ensure easy access to our products, unit trust structures have been created to make investments via Product Disclosure Statement or an administration platform. The Partners Group Global Value Fund (AUD),  the Partners Group Multi-Asset Fund, Partners Group Global Real Estate Fund and the Partners Group Global Income Fund - Unlisted allow investors to gain exposure to private markets with either monthly or daily liquidity. We have strong investor support for these four semi-liquid products totalling 4.3 billion and these have recommended ratings with all major research  houses. Our semi-liquid products have also received various awards including:  

• Lonsec alternative fund of the year 2015, 2019, 2022 - Partners Group Global Value Fund (AUD)

• Zenith alternative fund of the year 2012, 2014 - Partners Group Global Value Fund (AUD)

In addition to client activities, our team is also focussed on deal origination. 

Partners Group's investment approach encompasses private equity, private real estate, private debt, private infrastructure and liquid private markets investments. Our focus is investing in quality companies and assets with growth and development potential. We proactively source these investment opportunities in different markets through our large, local investment teams and network of industry experts.

With our long-term investment approach, we aim to create value in our lead direct investments on behalf of our clients through expansion and operational improvements. Additionally, to complement our lead direct investments, Partners Group can also invest in reputable managers to gain access to private market opportunities, as well as other assets and financing stages where potentially attractive opportunities arise.
